How to Check Your Pension Balance in Nigeria (The RSA PIN Trick)

How to Check Your Pension Balance in Nigeria (The RSA PIN Trick) Ask a few Nigerian workers when they last checked their pension balance, and the answers are usually the same: "Never," "A long time ago," or "How do I even do that?" Analysts at PenOp have noted this pattern among contributors. That's a problem, because your pension is probably the largest pool of long-term savings you will ever build, and you should watch it as closely as you watch your bank account. The good news is that checking your balance is simple once you know the one thing that unlocks everything: your RSA PIN. This guide explains what that is, how to use it to check your balance in several ways, and what to do when the numbers don't look right. What Is an RSA PIN, and Why Does It Matter? Top Ten Nigerian Billionaires in 2027: Who to Watch

Top Ten Nigerian Billionaires in 2027: Who to Watch A quick note before the list: the 2027 rankings haven't been published yet, so this post is a look ahead based on the latest 2026 data. Only four Nigerians appear on Forbes' official billionaire lists right now. The other six are people widely regarded as among the wealthiest in the country, but their fortunes are harder to verify, so I've avoided putting exact dollar figures on them. Nigeria is Africa's largest economy by population and one of its most dynamic. It is also home to some of the continent's most recognisable business names. Their wealth comes from cement, oil, telecoms, banking, power and real estate, and it has been shaped by a volatile naira, shifting government policy and a stock market that has had a strong run. The picture is encouraging overall. Forbes' 2026 Africa ranking found that the continent's 23 billionaires are worth a combined $126.7 billion, a 21 percent rise from 2025, whic...

Nigerian Billionaires 2026 List: Who Joined Aliko Dangote This Year?

Image
Nigerian Billionaires 2026 List: Who Joined Aliko Dangote This Year? Every year when the Forbes lists come out, one question starts going around Nigerian timelines: who is new? Who made it into the billionaire club, and who dropped out? The honest answer for 2026 is a bit surprising. Nobody new joined Aliko Dangote on the list. The same four Nigerians who appeared in 2025 are back, and the real story is how much their fortunes moved. One man saw his wealth more than double, one slipped slightly, one is hovering close to the cutoff, and Dangote himself ended up in a league of his own. Here is a full breakdown of the Nigerian billionaires of 2026, what changed, and what to watch next. The short answer: no new Nigerian billionaire this year Forbes released its 2026 Africa Billionaires ranking on March 9, with fortunes calculated from stock prices and exchange rates as of March 1. The list had 23 billionaires from across the continent, with a combined net worth of $126.7 billion. That...
